Just added a new rendering – a nightshot of this iconic midcentury building in Palm Springs, California. See the Southwest Midcentury Architecture page for more.

Good news: The fourth round of the Desert Dust Cinema, our short film festival in the former ghosttown Lobo/Texas, will happen during next year’s Labor Day weekend – that’s Saturday, September 03 and Sunday, September 04 2016. As usual, we will have more information on the schedule online during summer on the festival’s website.
The screenings will again take place outside in the evening at the former Lobo gas station. Live music will also be happening, at no entry fee. If you haven’t been around, join us for this special long weekend in September 2016!

A few days ago, the more or less chaotic photoshooting at our home studio back porch for a new short film (which shall stay untitled for the moment) was finished. Here’s a preview of Tucson’s one and only Glyn Royston, relaxing between some takes just before getting back in the saddle again. There’s more to come soon.
More than three years have passed since our “Sync 15” clip for NSI saw the light of day. Since then, Tobias Freund and Max Loderbauer seem to have added tons of modular synthesizers and others stuff to their ever evolving equipment as a new liverecording shows.
This high resolution clip documents the art of instant composing, electronic abstraction and otherworldy organic sound design of Non Standard Institute – captured live at their studio space in Berlin. Dive in and enjoy!

From today on, we’ll feed the new Playroutine Tumblr site with memories from the past, some unfinished works as well as ongoing activities, so have a look at this newest endeavour here and spread the word (i.e. images)…

The mission of Tucson Modernism Week, presented by the Tucson Historic Preservation Foundation, is to celebrate and foster appreciation of mid-century architecture and design. This year TMW will take place Friday October 2nd through Saturday, October 10th.
We’ll be part of this year’s Expo at Tucson’s Convention Center where the Modernism Week Opening Gala will be held Friday night. The hours of the exhibition itself: Opening Night Gala – Friday October 2 at 7 pm, Saturday October 3rd 9 am to 4 pm and Sunday October 4th 10 am to 3 pm. Hope to see you around!
Before the work on the next Playroutine animation will start, we just decided to get a bit deeper into the highlights of Midcentury Architecture here in Arizona. So today the former “Tucson City Hall” entry in the work section was renamed to “Southwest Midcentury Architecture” as several new scenes will be added during the upcoming weeks.
Our work will maybe be part of the Tucson Modernism Week Exhibition during October 2015. Just have a look at the Tucson Western Savings Bank, added today.
