Since a few month I’ve changed from the Vray render system to the Redshift renderer in C4D – a good decision when it comes to flicker free animations. Here’s some test renderings with organic texture maps used as a displacement material using Redshift, render time each under a minute.
Testing several renderpasses in Redshift I stumbled over the ‘world position’ pass – no clue what I would use it for, but for sure it looks interesting.
So here’s the ‘world position pass’ version of the latest clip, using the same color correction and distortion effects as the original clip.
Happy to announce that the music video for Berlin’s Non Standard Institute will be part of the new showreel of Maxon Cinema 4D, my favorite choice of tools whenever 3D gets involved. The salt and pepper motive had been already included in Maxon’s calendar for 2012, and some illustrations also found their way into the Cinema 4D online gallery – curious what comes next.
