Hello out there,
Playroutine compiles the visual work of Axel Roessler, living and working in Frankfurt/Germany at the moment. Over the years, the combination of music and visuals has become the main focal point in my work.
In addition, from 2014 I also turned more to screen printing – a return to the craft, so to speak, from digital to analog. At the moment it looks as if in the future mainly abstract serigraphs are to be expected as artistic output from me, video works rather less.
My love for screen/motion design started some years ago – in 1999 I started with 3D as one of the founding members of the electronic art&media label saasfee*, a creative collective with whom I continue to be involved.
Beside my freelance work in motion design, 3D, illustration or other projects, I was teaching interactive/motion design at the Hochschule fuer Gestaltung (university of art and design) Offenbach am Main from 2011 – 2014. From 2014 to 2019 I was living and woking in Tucson/Arizona, and after 5 years in the beautiful desert landscape of the southwest I’m back now in Frankfurt.
From 2011 to 2018, I also curated and organized the Desert Dust Cinema film festival in Lobo/Texas. Screenings of my own animations took place worldwide at film festivals in New York, Los Angeles, Boston, Sydney, Madrid, Paris, South Korea, Rotterdam, Berlin and many more. Sometimes I even find the time for new internal productions – hopefully soon again. For any questions, idea exchange or dinner invitations please get in touch.
